Firewall: review
Just when I’d thought that my freebies were running out, tickets to Firewall came in the mail today heh. Lucky shite?
And surprisingly, Firewall turns out to be a decent movie, if you discount the fact that it’s a Hollywood flick. I like the way Jack uses parts from the fax machine and his daughter’s iPod to record the bank account numbers, nice. As to whether it’s truly achieveable in reality, we’ll talk about that another time ;p
The story would’ve been more real had some of Jack’s family died, but noooo good guy prevails over here. All of the bad guys dead, and Jack returns unscathed. Harrison Ford does a good portrayal of the character IMO, showing the frailties that his age should have, and not a superhero jumping about. The shakes that he had at the end only makes his character more human.
On the whole, a great weekday flick : )

Addendum:
- Bleach’s chapter 223 shows up how Aizen’s plans for the Hougyouku actually are, and how exactly Karakura figures in everything. Yawn factor, no fights here.
- Finished The Alchemist, and it’s quite a nice little story, gets you thinking about life.
Quote of the day: “need another billy gatey in hardware manufacturing. macrohard. ah hahah 好笑” – ahlong.
Reminder of the day: Never wait too long to clear the movie freebies next time.
