The Magic Fundoshi, among other snaps.
Whew, once again.. it’s been a very long day. Haven’t caught a wink since yesterday, but a brief recap’ll do ;p No one’s interested in reading my life story over here after all, and especially not the boring bits. (I know I won’t.)
The Magic Fundoshi proved to be a hilarious performance, as ahlong and S practically laughed their guts out yesterday evening. Glenn Goei kickstarted the evening with his humorous introduction of their censorship, the red light! Apparently, a tiny little bulb high up on the ceiling was supposed to flare red whenever scenes of doubtful content were coming up i.e. sex-related. Like what Glenn said, “When the light comes on.. close your eyes lor!” (Not that anyone bothered at all, lol. Warning though: there’s nudity without the naughty bits hanging out!)

Before the show started.

ahlong flippin’ thru the programme.
The cast was certainly praiseworthy in their characterisation, although the dialogue for the first act was a trifle verbose (I was half wondering if even half of the audience understood WTF the actors were saying, and yes it was that chim, so to say.) ahlong’s take was that the actors seemed to be going through the motions of mouthing the words, instead of delivering them in a proper manner. Me? I thought they were pretty good already ;p
Nevertheless, I’m really glad I managed to watch this particular Wild Rice! production. Let’s hope future ones’ll be just as entertaining! And in particular, kudos to nad for bringing this show up on her blog, else I wouldn’t even have known about it. And yeah, I have the screwed-up printer @ Tampines Mall’s SISTIC counter + clashing timings to thank as well, else I would’ve watched it last Sunday along with her.

No seats at Hark Music when we arrived, so I ended up chilling at Paradiz Centre’s TCC with S and other friends. Bored stuff done there included things like:
- counting the number of times M grinned for no apparent reason. (10 times before I stopped counting.)
- editing the new story plot. (I’m lugging the notebook around all the time now.)
- thinking up new meanings for the TCC acronym. “Terrific Chill-out Corner!” “Trendy Coffee Cafe!” Methinks the first one sounds better ;p

Ice lemon tea that needed half a ton of sweetener to taste decent.

M and me singing Jay’s å€Ÿå£ at Hark Music! It’s our first time up on the stage, pretty fun : )
Thanks to S for taking this while we were up there! But I had the shakes after that, don’t ask me why. Natural release of nervous energy bleh.
M went up again for the last song of the night, singing Jacky Cheung’s 我真的å—伤了. No photos of that though, ‘cus I was busy taking a darn video of his entire performance ;p

The candlelight on our table.

Hoegaarden, the only beer I’m into at the moment. (And I’m not in love with it, that’s for sure.)

This shot is somewhat of a fast-forward; lasagne at Mr Bean, 6 a.m. Why the hell was I chewing on that at bloody 6 a.m. when Hark Music closes at 1:30 a.m.? Long story, not gonna bother yakking about it: 勉强是ä¸ä¼šæœ‰å¹¸ç¦çš„.
And if you look closely to the left, that’s S dozing on the table.

Addendum:
- Attempt to add a simple drop shadow to the image frame the night before, but I came to a singularly dumb conclusion: would the shadow even be visible on my black background? I gave up after that.
- Fleshing out of the plot continues on the new project, no details as of yet though. First chapter’s somewhat done, and the storyboarding’s still in progress. I’ll need time to transcribe everything from my notebook to a softcopy, dang I hate this part. (’cus I’ll have to read my inhumanly unreadable scribbles, and even I hate reading ‘em.)
Reminder of the day: get some sleep; ultra acne breakout on the way.
