About this entry

Live!

All right, splatters and dribbles is officially live! :)

After a long period of indecision, I finally decided to screw it, go ahead and sign up for my own webhost. (Blogger broke my limit when it lost a post I’d published.)

And of course, a domain name. The choice of a domain name certainly took long enough; I’d wanted silentnoises.com, silentnoises.net (one was for sale at a thousand bucks, the other one was taken) and I was constantly squeezing me braincells dry for further inspiration.

keinism.com and keinian.com appeared as choices recently, and keinism.com won out in the end. Why keinism.com in the end? keinian.com certainly sounded like I was a fcukin’ citizen of Keinia or something, for one ;p I’ll rather be a school of thought than a damn citizen.

The subsequent nights after signing up was spent tweaking the Hemingway template (it only allowed a display of 12 months’ worth of archives originally), importing all my entries from the previous two blogs (which amounted to a few hundred entries), figuring out why some entries could not be edited (courtesy of the Apache engine, and I had to do a word-by-word step thru to find out what didn’t work and what did) and losing sleep sorting them into categories. Herculean effort, to say the least. Buttt.. it’s all over now! Bwahahaha :)

That’s not all there is to it though; a separate website on keinism.com itself will be available in future. WHEN I get into the web designing mood that is ;p

Meanwhile, iam tandem has been moved from Yahoo! Geocities to keinism.com as well. No more irritating adverts, yesh. Now readily available, anytime. Then again, who cares?

And last but not least, I might be hosting blogs for a few other people as well. You’re welcome to check with me, since I’ve nothing better to do with the space anyway. Buttt. No image hosting please, go use Flickr for that :) I’m only providing WordPress login and an FTP account, should you need it.

Comments? Flame? Whatever, feel free to start posting. You’re very welcome! :)
