of yet another great movie this year.

Caught Perhaps Love’s sneak preview @ Lido today w/ XQ and WY, and.. wow. It’s definitely one of my top 5 for this year’s picks :)

Personally, I liked the way the movie was made. The parallelism of relationships between the roles in the movie they were shooting, and reality. The constant going back and forth between the supposed movie scenes, and reality, and the past. The scene when Jacky Cheung folded his arms in mid-air, and fell down. Takeshi Kaneshiro calling Zhou Xun on the phone, and the eloquent silence that followed.

Another positive would be the musical elements in the show. It’s been so long since I’ve heard Jacky Cheung sing in another musical other than Snow.Wolf.Lake, and he delivers this time as well. What can I say, great music throughout the film. Hmm rephrase that; Ji Jin Hee sang pretty badly but well, it’s not like Mandarin’s his mother tongue so ;p The music really carried the mood of the film throughout.

All in all? I won’t mind watching it again :) And this goes out to Mr Yang if I don’t see you on MSN before you read this post: WATCH IT! No regrets for sure.
